Melissa Newman, PsyD, is a licensed clinical psychologist and the clinical supervisor of the Autism Project in the South Bay and Peninsula region.  She relocated from Chicago to join the Easter Seals Bay Area team and brings over 10 years of experience working in the field of early intervention and autism.  Melissa graduated with her doctorate of Psychology from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, spending years working with children and adolescents diagnosed with developmental delays and mental illness.  She also has extensive experience in assessment, group therapy, consultation, family therapy, and parent training. 

Melissa is passionate about developing and providing evidence-based treatments and programs for children diagnosed with autism and ensuring these services are accessible to children and families.  She works closely with families and treatment teams to promote each child’s individual success.
